Who We Are

Jamesbridge Associates is a tax accounting firm specializing in small business, professional and estate accounting and planning. The practice was established in 1995 by principal Paul Komarnicky (MBA, CMA) at the urging of business and personal colleagues, who saw a niche for a highly personalized approach with extensive institutional knowledge.

As principal, Paul Komarnicky offers many years of experience in applying tax strategies to business operations. Since starting his own practice, Paul has specialized in assisting the professional and small business person to arrange business and personal affairs in the most tax efficient way allowable within tax legislation. Paul has more than 30 years experience in banking, personal and business finance at blue chip companies including Bank of Nova Scotia, Traders Group Limited and IBM Canada. Paul is a Certified Management Accountant, holds a Masters in Business Administration from York University, and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Waterloo Lutheran University. He holds directorships in Canadian Management Accountants in Public Practice Inc. and Canadian Accountants in Public Practice Association. Paul is a member of the Society of Management Accountants of Ontario and of Canada, the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, and the Canadian Tax Foundation, and he is a Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers (F.I.C.B.) and Associate Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (Assoc. F.C.S.I.). He edits the quarterly newsletter Taxing Times.

Nancy Andrew

Nancy Andrew

Nancy Andrew structures her private accounting practice around personal and small corporate clients. Individual clients come to Nancy for strategic tax planning and long-term financial and investment strategy. Licenced by the Investment Funds Institute of Canada, Nancy is able to offer mutual funds and life insurance as part of a comprehensive financial plan. Small business clients benefit from her 20 years’ accounting expertise in economic planning. She has been a consultant with C.N. Watson since 1999 and previously held the position of Deputy Treasurer of the Town of Oakville. A Certified Management Accountant, Nancy holds an M.B.A. and a Bachelor of Commerce, both from McMaster University. She is a member of the Board of Directors of Canadian Management Accountants in Public Practice.

His extensive knowledge of tax laws, accounting and profit planning is an asset to clients with an interest in estate and succession planning. Paul has more than 30 years’ experience in banking, personal and international business finance at blue chip companies including Bank of Nova Scotia, Traders Group Limited and IBM Canada. Paul is a Certified Management Accountant, holds a Masters in Business Administration from York University, and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Waterloo Lutheran University. He is a founding director of Canadian Management Accountants in Public Practice Inc. and Canadian Accountants in Public Practice Association. James Vida

James Vida

James P. Vida has 28 years of experience in business and personal tax strategy in Canada and the United States. In his private accounting practice, James specializes in all accounting, taxation and record-keeping services, personal and business finance, estate planning for individuals, sole proprietors, partners and small to medium privately held corporations. A Certified Management Accountant, James holds directorships in Canadian Management Accountants in Public Practice, Inc., and Canadian Accountants in Public Practice Association. He is a member of the Society of Management Accountants of Ontario and of Canada. James is a full-time professor in the School of Entrepreneurship and Business at Niagara College. His Niagara office is well situated for Canadian and American professionals.

Frank McGoldrick

Frank McGoldrick

Frank McGoldrick launched his private accounting practice in Ottawa in 1982. Over the past two decades, his practice has evolved from small business and personal income tax to business consulting and accounting for small- to medium-sized owner-managed businesses. His clientele is wide-ranging and includes manufacturing, television production, construction, e-commerce, real estate, and food services. Frank also has a sub-specialty in providing accounting services to the not-for-profit sector, ranging from the accounting needs of associations to fundraising. He is a part-time comptroller for a national association of professionals as well as an associate for the publishing company that publishes their journal. Frank is also treasurer of a virtual high-tech company that develops assistive devices for individuals with severe disabilities. Prior to starting his own firm, Frank spent ten years with Ottawa-based chartered accounting firms. He has a diploma in business administration from Algonquin College and is designated as a Certified Management Accountant through the Society of Management Accountants of Ontario. Frank is a member of Canadian Management Accountants in Public Practice, the Society of Management Accountants of Ontario and the Society of Management Accountants of Canada.
